Itinerary

  • Day 1
    SUN I CAIRO

    Arrive in the Land of the Pharaohs. Upon completion of immigration and customs formalities at Cairo International Airport, you will be met at the exit by our representative and escorted to your hotel.

  • Day 2
    MON I CAIRO

    Start your morning by visiting the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities which includes the world’s largest collection of Pharaonic artifacts. Then, drive to Old Cairo to visit Al Moallaka Church (Hanging Church). In the afternoon after Lunch, visit the Great Pyramids of Giza and the enigmatic Sphinx. (B, L)

  • Day 3
    TUE I CAIRO I ASWAN

    After breakfast, the morning is at leisure. Mid-day transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival in Aswan, you will be transferred to your hotel for overnight in Aswan. (B

    WED I ASWAN I ABU SIMBEL I KOM OMBO I EDFU

    Visit the Temple of Horus, the falcon god. Dating from 237 B.C., it is considered the best-preserved temple in Egypt and the second largest after the Temple of Karnak. Sail towards Esna, passing through the Esna Lock. In the afternoon, as you sail towards Luxor, take high tea. (B,L,D)Early in the morning, transfer to Aswan Airport for your flight to Abu Simbel. Visit the Great Temple of Ramses II and the temple of his beloved Queen Nefertari. After visiting this magnificent site, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Aswan where you will be escorted to your Nile River cruise ship. Accommodations on board will consist of outside cabins with private facilities. Today, you will visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk, and the Temple of Isis at Philae. Sail on board a felucca, a traditional Egyptian sailboat and view Kitchener’s Island Botanical Garden and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. After lunch, sail to Kom Ombo where you will visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Sobek and Haroeris. Then, sail to Edfu for the overnight. (B,L,D)

    THU I EDFU I LUXOR

    FRI I LUXOR

    Visit the West Bank necropolis including the Valley of the Kings, the Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari, and the Colossi of Memnon. Tour Karnak and Luxor temples, a century’s old city of pylons, hypostyle halls, colossal statues, shrines, and obelisks. In the evening see an optional sound and light show at the Karnak Temple.     SAT I LUXOR I HURGHADA

    Breakfast and disembarkation followed by a transfer to Hurghada via car. (B,L,D)

  • Day 8
    SUN I HURGHADA

    Spend this full day at leisure to relax, explore Hurghada on your own, or participate in an optional tour. (B,L,D)

    MON I HURGHADA

    Spend this full day at leisure to relax, explore Hurghada on your own, or participate in an optional tour. (B,L,D)

    TUE I HURGHADA I CAIRO

    After breakfast, transfer to Hurghada Airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be transferred to your hotel. (B)

    WED I CAIRO TO USA (OR EXTEND YOUR STAY)

    After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
